The Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce, together with the District of Invemere is proud to announce our 2023 Mural Grant Program. This investment in public art is a vital part of the goals of both the District and Chamber to enhance Invermere’s appearance and appeal, engage citizens and businesses, raise awareness and appreciation for the value of art, increase employment opportunities in the arts, encourage tourism, and add economic vitality to the area.
Program highlights:
-Any business in the District of Invermere boundaries.
-The business or building cannot be owned by DOI council or staff.
-Applicants must own the property or have written permission from the property owner.
-Must have a valid business license in the District of Invermere.
-The project will fund up to 4 murals.
-Funding is available for 75% of the project, up to $5000.
-The applicant is responsible for 25% of the project.
-Payment is made to the applicant once mural has been completed, and proof of payment to the artist is available.
-Applications open on June 12, 2023.
-Applications are due June 30, 2023.
-Successful applicants will be made aware on July 7.
