On Wednesday, June 29th, 2016 there will be a new Vendor Market opening! The market will operate Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9 am – 1 pm until September 9th.

The Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce Local Market will feature handmade, baked and grown products. Although not an official Farmers’ Market vendors will be asked to follow the BC Association of FARMERS MARKET (BCAFM) guidelines.

The CVCC was approached by local vendor Shannon Root to start this market. With support from the CVCC and Lake Windermere Lions’ Club it was agreed that this market will  provide local vendors another opportunity to sell their products and grow their businesses without competing with other markets in the Columbia Valley.

“This market will be just another reason for the travelling public to stop at our Visitor Centre and support our local economy.” said Kathy Tyson, Visitor Info Centre Mgr.

With the addition of the new dates both locals and visitors will be able to purchase locally made and grown products 5 days a week. Other markets in the Columbia Valley are:

• Friday (evening) – Market on Main, Radium
• Saturday – Invermere Farmers’ & Artists’ Market
• Sunday – Fairmont Farmers’ & Artists’ Market
